IT Operations Engineer

Mission

We are looking for a proactive and versatile IT Operations Engineer to join our cross-functional IT team. This position is key to ensuring a secure, seamless, and efficient IT environment for all employees across the organization. You'll be responsible for managing access controls, device compliance, and IT security policies, as well as providing technical support and executing key IT operational tasks such as hardware management and the IT Employee Lifecycle.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine IT Operations and IT Security best practices, ensuring that all systems and processes are secure, efficient, and well-documented for operational teams to manage.

Your profile

As an IT Operations Engineer (Security Focus), you will play a critical role in ensuring that all IT systems are secure, auditable, and monitorable from a security perspective, while also supporting day-to-day IT operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Access Management: Manage user identities and permissions through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), implementing access control policies, ensuring secure authentication and managing SSO configurations.

  2. Device Compliance and MDM: Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, primarily Microsoft Intune, to enforce security policies, manage device compliance, and ensure secure configurations across endpoints.

  3. Security Monitoring: Collaborate with the Security Engineering team to ensure device compliance, threat detection, and incident response are properly managed and continuously improved.

  4. Documentation and Guides: Create operational guides and documentation to enable self-service support and consistent IT processes, ensuring that operational teams can configure and manage tools securely.

  5. End-User Support: Provide technical support to employees, especially for MacOS and Windows devices, assisting with hardware, software, and access issues to ensure smooth operations.

  6. IT Onboarding/Offboarding: Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware setup, account creation, access provisioning, and device retrieval.

Your Profile

We’re looking for a well-rounded IT Operations professional with a security-first mindset who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.

Core qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT operations or IT support roles with a strong focus on device management and user support.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for managing user identities, SSO integration, and access control policies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Intune or other MDM solutions for enforcing device compliance and managing macOS, Windows, and mobile devices.

  • Knowledge of IT security best practices, including endpoint protection, secure configurations, and device lifecycle management.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues across MacOS, Windows, and cloud-based tools.

  • Proactive and self-driven, with a structured approach to solving IT issues and improving processes.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and IT security frameworks.

  • Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to streamline IT processes.

  • Experience with Jira Service Management or other ITSM platforms for managing support tickets.

  • Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, or other data privacy regulations.
