Responsibilities
- Own the definition and delivery of monthly and weekly goals for your team, in partnership with Product and AI Principals, ensuring they are specific, measurable and directly tied to business impact
- Maintain a single, transparent source of truth for roadmap, priorities, and status in JIRA and review it with stakeholders on a weekly basis
- Continuously track progress against commitments using clear metrics and proactively unblock or re‑scope when risk to goals appears
- Run effective planning and refinement: make trade‑offs explicit, cut or postpone low‑impact work, and ensure the team is always working on the highest‑leverage items
- Translate company and product strategy into 2–3 clear focus areas for the team per month and communicate them so every engineer knows “what matters now” and “what success looks like”
- Use data to drive improvements: define and monitor a small set of team KPIs (e.g. lead time, defect rate, on‑time delivery, system SLOs) and lead experiments to improve them
- Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews that explicitly link individual goals to team and company goals, and track progress over time
- Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the company’s values
- Look after our engineers and help them grow
- This is not a hands-on role, i.e., not a tech lead
